She walked down narrow side walk deep in thought. First, her limo driver went m.i.a. Then the Mitsu character destroyed her potential killer. Her thoughts were on who exactly it was who tried to assassinate her and why. There was no one who really had an idea of who she was and why she was considered untouchable in most cases. There was a reason she kept her secrets to herself, and the assassination attempt was proof enough. While she had left another problem behind her, which was Mitsu, she was still in some trouble. Her cell phone was destroyed, which meant she had no other way to communicate to anyone especially the most important one of all. The individual on the other line was surely worried, therefore, she hurried herself to find the nearest place to call.
There was a pay phone nearby a bus station. Once she reached the phone, she placed it against her ear. Her finger pushed at the buttons desperately, but there was no signal.
"What the hell is wrong with this piece of shit? Doesn't anyone fix anything anymore?" What she had not known was that all communications were cut from the outside world. They were cut off by a mysterious group who were specifically targeting her and for reasons unknown as of yet. She slammed the phone back in its place. Her eyes scanned the area. The first thing she realized was that there was no one else around. Though it was late, Junon was a city that had places for people go to even late at night. The fact that she was mostly alone caused some suspicion.
She had not yet seen that Mitsu had followed her. Her attention turned back to the bus station she stood in front of.
"I got to remind myself to fire that limo driver. He is such a bastard." She hated the idea of entering a bus station, but she had no other choice. Entering into the building, she saw that no one was in the ticket booth where workers usually were. She quietly walked closer to the booth. Perhaps the individual was in the back or sleeping on the job.
"Hello, is anyone here?" She called out. Even inside the station, it was dark so she tread carefully. She looked around until she reached the booth. It was at that precise moment she saw blood on the glass window where the worker always stood to hand tickets to customers. When she saw the marks of death, she immediately tensed at the possibility that there was another killer in the area. The moment she became tense a man dressed in black jumped at her with a knife.
She was no stranger to being alone in the dark. A soft, swift sound alerted her to the sneak attack. The second the man grabbed her shoulder she spun to face him. With fierceness and a brawler's mentality, she slugged him when she spun. The spin gave her more momentum. Her experience in these situations had given her enough knowledge to know where to aim at. Her fist connected to his temple, thus, he was knocked out on impact.
"Don't ever sneak up on a woman asshole especially one who can kick your ass." After she punched him and had seen that he was knocked out cold, she kicked his fallen body for extra measure. It was also to check if he was knocked out. Was it coincidental that he tried to kill her too? Everything seemed to be playing against her. Was it possible that Mitsu had something to do with this? Then she remembered he had killed the man who shot at her. Why would he do that? Seeing that the man was out cold, she then hopped over his body and headed to the back of the station where parked buses were. There seemed to be none that were turned on or ready for departure.
She investigated the parked bus area. Unknown to her or anyone at the moment, a group waited in the shadows as they plotted on how exactly they were going to take her down.
"Look, look her she comes. She must have got passed Big Bob. I always knew he was a dumb ass. How did a scrawny girl like her do that? That's her isn't it?" One masked individual asked shockingly because he was unsure anybody could get passed a rather large man like Bob. Regardless, he wasn't exactly intimidated just yet either.
"Yeah, you can't mistake her fine ass. I wonder why the boss commissioned this. Poor girl has no idea that she isn't getting out of Junon tonight. He made sure of it too. Just imagine how much publicity this event will get." A group of 5 men waited patiently while they chuckled at the sick humor. They remained hidden and unnoticed. They waited for the perfect time to strike too.
