On every site there are people who break rules, so to counter that we have a reporting system.
Reporting a post:
Reporting a post is simple, but for those of you who aren't sure. I'll go through it for you guys. (With pictures! )
1. First of all, make sure the post is actually something worth reporting. If someone doesn't agree with one of your ideas, DON'T report them because you're being annoying. Read the RULES to check if they are violating any of the laws of Final Memories.
2. After looking over their post and believing that they are breaking rules or abusing their powers as staff, all you have to do is click the gear button in the corner and click Report Post. DO NOT TELL THE ABUSER YOU ARE REPORTING THEM!
A staff member will get the report and will talk to the Reporter privately to further discuss and also deal with the situation in a professional/calm manner.
Reporting a post in the ShoutBox:
Now, this is slightly harder to justify seeing as you can always lie and then start chatting a lot causing the message to disappear. To prevent this we have set up a requirement that you must have a Screen Shot, and a witness. If the message is gone before you can get any witnesses, then you must wait till the Abuser has done it again and make sure a friend sees it, DO NOT TELL THE ABUSER YOU ARE REPORTING THEM! As they might not break the rules again.
1. Take a Screen Shot. On most (if not all) Windows devices you can easily take Screen Shots using the Snipping Tool program. On Mac devices, open the page up in Preview and use the Take Screen Shot option under the File tab.
Windows:
Mac:
2. Get a Witness who has also seen the abuse and agrees with you. This is a security measure to know you are not lying.
3. Send the Screen Shot to a Staff Member and have your Witness do the same.
